My Son’s Wedding Week…Time to turn my attention to home | Amelia Island Photographer

This is a very special week around our home. Our youngest son is getting married on Saturday to the girl of his dreams, and we are SO excited for him! She is a beauty, inside and out, and we are thrilled to welcome her as another Mrs. Bell, and part of our family. Their story is kind of one of those ‘boy meets/marries girl next door’ storylines. They have been acquaintances since middle school, but had not seen each other in quite a few years, until a couple of years ago, when they were re-acquainted, and, well, here we are! We think the world of her and her family, and look forward to many happy times together.

Between the two of them, they have one child, and his name is Jaxson. He is rather large for a one year old and is quite like an elephant in a china shop. But, he is oh so cute. With his blonde hair and adorable brown eyes, and big ears, he is irresistible. He is very playful, but doesn’t heed the word, no, as he just continues doing his thing. He loves the swimming pool, and is already quite a swimmer. He loves to just jump in, even if no one is around, and then loves to run in the house, dripping wet. With his size, just turning around takes its toll on household knick-knacks, as they usually end up on the floor. Recently he has begun thinking any place he goes is his, because he likes to ‘mark’ it. If you haven’t guessed by now, he is a yellow lab and is quite a bundle of joy. A BIG bundle 🙂

So, I am sharing a picture of him and his mom and dad, below, taken during their engagement session, in Fernandina Beach, on Amelia Island, several months ago. Like I said, he is a cute blonde kid. Of course, he is blonde–look at his dad and mom! 🙂

I am honored to say a fellow photographer and his team will be capturing Stevn and Jenni’s day. Their names are Bob and Dawn Davis and they are having quite a few other photographers, from all over the country, join them. Stevn and Jenni’s day is going to be documented by some of the most talented and incredible photographers, as part of a Davis Love Story wedding workshop, and we are thrilled at the thought of all the gorgeous images that will be captured. I plan to snap some photographs, myself, but am leaving the ‘work’ part up to this talented bunch. As a photographer, I don’t know how I could possibly not take a camera to my own son’s wedding, so that is out of the question. The camera is simply an extension of my arm, at this point in my life, and I find it second nature to have it with me, for any and all occasions.

So…we are at five days and a wake up. And, I have lots to do. I am hoping to be able to add to this blog this week, but I am not sure if that will happen. I will try. I have much to share–family sessions, weddings, babies and children. I have been very busy with my work, but it is now time to turn my attention toward the home front.

I am also sharing, under Stevn and Jenni’s photo, an image of one gorgeous bride.  I had the privilege of photographing her and her groom on Friday at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island. They had the most incredible day, surrounded by their family and friends, and it was such an honor to be part of it!

Enjoy! And, please share, as you like. If you haven’t dropped by my Facebook page,  https://www.facebook.com/pambellphotography, and given me a ‘like’, I would certainly appreciate it if you did.

Blessings…

Pam
