Just a short blog this day. I have been out of pocket for about a week, and am now playing catch up. Last week was moving week for my mom, and we (my brother, sister and I) moved her out of her home of 64 years (yes, you read that correctly). It was a daunting task that we weren’t quite prepared for. I can’t think of anything that could have possibly prepared us for this time.
Staying in one place for 64 years (with the exception of a 7 year time span in which my grandmother lived in the house) creates an environment of collections–all sorts of them. And…my mother is a history buff, so we had quite a bit of history in that house. Of course, it was our homestead, and the ‘constant’ we had known through the years. So, as we cleaned, we also experienced some grief for this closed chapter in our lives.
I am sure, at some point, I will write another blog on this, but that is all for now. It was a pretty emotional time, and as soon as we unloaded the moving truck into storage, my husband and I were on our way to Atlanta for a PPA SMS seminar.
I like to stay up on my education with the Professional Photographers of America and this was one of their course offerings. It was full of information and I am ready with many new ideas to implement into my business. We arrived home late last night.
On arriving home, I was back at the computer. I am happy to say I am working on some of my past sessions as I book new ones. I have a full week of beach sessions this week and am looking forward to meeting new folks as well as seeing returning clients.
I was going back through a recent spring wedding and found some gorgeous images I wanted to share in this blog. There are so many from this wedding, that it is hard to choose just a few. But…. I will share a few of Mr. and Mrs. Krager’s day! It took place at The Amelia Island Club (formerly the Ocean Club) at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation. What a gorgeous venue!!!
Blessings…
Pam
